Did you know Impact is the home of FOUR dance teams? We’re proud to offer these amazing programs for dancers ages 5 & up who demonstrate hard work, commitment, and a strong passion for dance. Auditions for our teams take place in late spring for the following year, but NOW is the time to start preparing for audition day. Read on to learn more about our teams and our class recommendations for interested dancers.
Impact Pee Wee Company (New!)
Ages 5-7 years
NEW this year, we are excited to introduce Pee Wee Company! This is an introductory dance team which will perform at a few dance competitions, as well as the year-end recital. During their experience on Pee Wee Company, our teachers lay the groundwork needed for a solid dance foundation, make lots of new friends and have fun! Pee Wee dancers take class 2 days each week and train in jazz, ballet, and tap. Dancers also receive a special Pee Wee Company team jacket!
Impact Show Stars Company
Ages 6-18 years
Show Stars provides an opportunity for children to enhance their dance skills by performing at dance competitions and various local events, such as the LaGrange Pet Parade and at the United Center for the Chicago Bulls. Show Stars dance 2-3 days per week in a variety of styles, including jazz, ballet, and tap. Dancers also receive a beautiful team warm-up suit!
Show Stars is perfect for the dancer who wants to take their dancing to the next level while still exploring other interests and activities.

Impact Competition Team
Ages 6-18 years
The award-winning Impact Dance Studio Competition Team is for dancers who desire to train at the highest level. Dancers train 3-4 days per week (depending on age and skill level) in various styles, such as jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap, hip hop, and ballroom. All teams attend at least 4 regional dance competitions in the Chicagoland area. Some advanced teams also attend one National Finals competition out-of-state each summer.
This program is for the dedicated, passionate dancer who takes their dance training seriously and understands the commitment involved with the Competition Team.

Impact Fusion Dance Team
Ages 14-18 years
The Fusion Dance Team essentially fuses together high school pom/cheer team commitments with a shorter competitive dance season at Impact Dance Studio. Fusion provides an opportunity for dancers to train at a high level though the entire school year and perform at competitions after their high school season has ended. Dancers are required to take one Fusion company class, plus at least one additional technique class per week. This team attends 2-3 dance competitions in the Spring.

How to Prepare for Auditions
If your child is really enjoying dance and you’re noticing a spark that is maybe lacking in their other activities, NOW is the time to start thinking about auditions for next year. We recommend taking the following classes to best prepare your dancer for a successful audition day:
- Jazz (strongly recommended)
- Ballet (strongly recommended)
- Lyrical
- Tap
